The College Park Cares 5K Race wraps around tree–lined Lake Artemesia. This flat, USATF–certified course, features electronic timing and is designed for speed and setting personal records.

Team scoring will be based on the sum of the top 5 runners, including the times of at least one male and one female.

I know that running is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run in this race or volunteer to help coordinate race activities unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely compete in the run. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: falls, weather conditions, contact with other participants, the effects of the road and traffic on the course, and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release The Vecna Cares Charitable Trust, all event partners, sponsors, volunteers, their representatives, successors, and assigns from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. If I am signing this waiver as parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor, I agree to be responsible for the conduct and safety of the minor, and I recognize and assume the risks described above on behalf of the minor. For safety reasons, I agree not to run or volunteer with any of the following: wheelchairs, stroller, baby joggers, skates, pets, or headsets.
